My name is Dr. Cassie McVeigh. I am a vocationally-trained GP and an accredited menopause specialist. I am passionate about working with women to provide them with evidence-based and effective management of their menopause.
Many women begin to suffer the effects of declining hormones from their mid-forties, but some women can experience them much earlier. Nowadays, women can expect to live a third of their life in the menopausal state.
Hot flushes, night sweats, mood swings, brain fog, anxiety, sexual dysfunction and poor sleep are just some of the unpleasant symptoms that may be experienced. Long term risks include osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease.
I have set up the Vitality Clinic in order to be able to dedicate the time and expertise that is needed to focus on menopause in a way that does justice to its importance and complexity.
Consultations can be either in-person in our modern premises in Sligo or carried out remotely from anywhere via video. The initial visit involves a detailed history and assessment and may last up to 40 minutes.
My aim is to provide women with a comprehensive & bespoke menopause management plan that empowers them to live a healthy, full life through the menopause and beyond.

Initial consultations are carried out either in person in Sligo or remotely (Zoom or phone). Due to demand, availability for initial consultations is currently low, but additional appointments are released on a monthly basis. All bookings are made via this website.
The first follow-up consultation should generally take place after three months. Thereafter, follow-up is generally on a six-monthly basis.
Please note that Dr. Cassie is unable to address clinical questions by email. In order to ensure appropriate and safe prescribing, repeat prescriptions can only be issued following a consultation.
It is best to book all consultations well in advance. Due to demand, it is generally not possible to offer appointments at short notice.
Insertion of Mirena and copper coils is available on request for a fee of 175 euro including counselling and insertion. Private cervical smears are also available. Please email info@vitalityclinic.ie to enquire about availability of these services.

These assessment forms form an important part of the consultation and should be completed prior to the consultation with Dr. Cassie.
Prior to an initial consultation, please complete both forms. For a follow-up consultation, generally just the Greene symptom scale form is required in most cases.
The completed form(s) can be either brought to the consultation on the day or emailed in advance to info@vitalityclinic.ie.
